ProAll International Manufacturing Ltd., located in Olds, AB, is seeking an Instrumentation Technician for assembling, maintaining, and repairing components and products in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards at various stages of Assembly. This position focuses on the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of industrial instrumentation and control systems used in our operations. We are growing and this is an excellent opportunity to join a positive team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a post-secondary program in instrumentation technology or a related field.
  • Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician certificate an asset
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial instrumentation, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related control systems is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, driven and can work well under limited supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Consult technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to troubleshoot, test, and maintain measurement and control instruments used in manufacturing and on ProAll equipment.
  • Inspect and test instrumentation systems to identify issues using precision testing devices and diagnostic tools.
  • Assist with control installation and troubleshooting issues throughout various Assembly stages.
  • Repair or replace defective components, including sensors, transmitters, and control modules integrated into ProAll’s equipment.
  • Perform calibration of measurement instruments to ensure compliance with specifications and operational accuracy.
  • Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Maintain detailed service and maintenance logs, ensuring accurate reporting for all performed tasks.
  • Read and interpret circuit diagrams, blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and operation of equipment.
  • Install control and measurement instruments on new and existing ProAll volumetric concrete mixers and plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate new instrumentation technologies into ProAll’s products.
  • Work closely with production teams to resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Providing training and guidance to less experienced technicians.
  • Provide technical guidance to operators regarding system functionality and performance optimization.
  • Manage inventory of specialized instruments, parts, and equipment.
  • Communicate with the supply chain to order parts and maintain inventory.
  • Interpret workorders, drawings and complete all documentation accurately.
  • Ensure quality work is done in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow up with supervisors to communicate status of equipment being worked on.
  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work related processes.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
